Intervention

Individual therapy with young people who exhibit sexually harmful behaviour

Offered for those young people who remain in the community or where regular therapy can be arranged at a custodial/residential establishment.  Duration, content, specific aims and intended outcomes are established at the outset with the young person and the referring agency.  Reviewed at six weekly intervals where necessary, when a progress report is submitted to the referrer.  Can be offered as a continuation of the Assessment of Risk if required but the Assessment of Intervention Needs is usually carried out as part of this work.
